Januita Bell Hoover, 77, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Ms. Hoover was born in 1940 the daughter of the late Richard and Henryetta Clifton. She was a homemaker in her own home raising three daughters and a son. Ms. Hoover was of the Baptist faith.
Her husband, Jerral Cleveland Hoover, whom she married on June 2, 1958 in West Virginia preceded her in death in 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Beverly Hoover and husband, George Collier of Winchester, Virginia, Regina Martin of Warrenton, Virginia, and Brenda May and husband, Paul of Fairfax, Virginia; son, Ronnie Hoover and wife, Kristen of Cross Junction, Virginia; grandchildren; Julia, Travis, and Paul May, Jr., Melissa Smith, Sarah McCarl, Amanda and Ronnie Hoover, Jr.; six great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Barnette, Lula Facemire, and Opal Bailey; and brothers, Doy and Eugene Clifton.
Along with her parents and husband, Jerral, she was preceded in death by sister, Myrel Clark; brothers, Harry, Charlie, Edgar, and Robert Clifton.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Malick Cemetery, Augusta, West Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Travis May, Charlie Frame, Sam Smith, Paul May, Jr., Ronnie Hoover, Jr., and Jacob McCarl.
