Janeen Williams S. Garber
Janeen “Jay” Williams S. Garber, 60, of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, in her home.
Jay was born in 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Keith and Louise Williams. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Class of 1971, Mary Baldwin College receiving a BS Degree and Hood University where she received an MBA Degree. Mrs. Garber was Administrator of Special Needs, ECHO (Every Citizen Has Opportunity) in Leesburg, Virginia, retiring in 1999. She was an Episcopalian. In her spare time Jay was known for her passion of the great outdoors where she enjoyed reading, fishing and the love of her family.
She married Thomas G. Garber on October 24, 1982, in Hampshire, County, West Virginia.
Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Wesley Pupi and husband, Rob, of Nursery, Texas; son, Adam Stewart of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren, Brenden Pupi, Isabella Louise Pupi and Dylan Adam Stewart; two sisters, Krista Williams Tucker and husband, Thomas, of Warrenton, Virginia; Beth Williams Hoffman and husband, Joseph, of Frostburg, Maryland; and brother, Command Sergeant Major Kenneth Elliott Williams of Camp Shelby, Mississippi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.
One brother Keith Charlton Williams preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at St. Paul’s on the Hill in Winchester, Virginia, with The Reverend Michael Mohn officiating. Interment will be private.
