Jane Metz DeHaven, 86, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at Spring Arbor.
Mrs. DeHaven was born in 1927, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of Daniel Ray Metz. She was a graduate of Stonewall High School. Mrs. DeHaven was the owner and operator of DeHaven Florist and was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester.
She married Charles Stuart DeHaven, Sr. on July 26, 1948, in Winchester, Virginia. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2008.
Surviving is her son, Charles S. DeHaven, Jr. and wife, Patricia Lynn, of Winchester; grandsons, Charles S. DeHaven, III of Winchester and Donald Walter DeHaven of Pittsboro, North Carolina. Her son, Randolph Metz DeHaven and brother, Daniel Ray Metz, Jr., preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Jeffrey A. Witt officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
