James “Jake” Webster
James “Jake” Webster, 73, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Webster was born in 1941, in Washington, DC, and was raised by his grandparents Carter and Minnie Skinner in Prince William County, VA. He received a BA from Wheeling Jesuit University, a Masters from Marymount University and a PhD in Organizational Leadership from Capella University. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a business manager for Shane’s Automotive in Martinsburg, WV. He owned and operated Webster’s Total Body Martial Arts with his sons until his retirement. He loved martial arts, boxing and playing racquetball.
Mr. Webster is survived by his wife, Sandra; his children, Kimberly, Kelcey, and Kendall of Winchester, Lora Skinner of Norcross, GA, Stacy Robinson and husband, Floyd, of Colorado Springs, CO, James Skinner of Arizona, and Shiree Skinner of Washington, DC; and three grandchildren, Seanna Skinner, Daria Skinner and Demetrius Stuckey.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Mr. Todd Strader officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 10:00 AMat Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia.
