I met Mr Miller one say while I came to visit my grandmother, Freda Shiley who is also buried at Paynes Chapel. I helped him walk to his wife, Janet's headstone. I have him a flower from my grandmother's to give his wife. We chatted for a few and I told him good bye. Today, July 16, marks one year that my grandmother entered those beautiful gates of heaven. I walked by the headstone he visited, and I now see he has went to be with his wife Janet. The amount of peace at this little church is immeasurable... God bless this man.

My condolences on the loss of Ray. I met him through a grief support group, and we would occasionally meet for breakfast over the course of a year or so. What I remember most about him was his gentle spirit, soft spoken voice, deep faith, along with a joke or two. I know he is with his Savior and his lovely wife Janet. Rest in peace good and faithful servant.

Ray was a wonderful man. Anytime me met him he always had time to sit and talk with us. We always enjoyed Payne’s Chapels pancake breakfast, he made the best pancakes and he always made sure you had enough to eat . We will miss him but we know he is with Jesus and his beloved wife Janet.
