Jim Sandy, 70, of Frederick County, VA passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.

Jim was born in 1948 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Herman R. and Sylvia B. Sandy. He was a 20 year retired veteran of the USMC. Jim was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and F.O.E.

Brenda Sandy preceded him in death in 1997.

Surviving are daughters, Betty Jo Jenkins (Trampes) of Augusta, WV and Bobbi Jo Stevens of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Jolie and Wyatt Jenkins of Augusta, WV and Hannah and Hunter Stevens of Winchester, VA; brother, Marty Sandy (Nanci) of Winchester, VA; nieces and nephews, Amy Jo Funk, Wes and Bradley Cooper, Missy Hawkins, and Amanda Marshall.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
