James L. Milburn
James Lee Milburn, age 69, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, in the Winchester Medical Center.
Jim was born in Charles Town, West Virginia in 1946, the son of the late William and Anna Louise Milburn, Jr. He was employed as Lead Electrician for Fleetwood Travel Trailers for many years and later worked in sales. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He can be remembered for his love of gardening, fishing and animals especially his beloved dog “Tara”. He will be forever missed and loved by all who knew him.
Jim married Gloria Jean Hockensmith in Berryville, Virginia on November 21, 1965.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Jim is survived by a daughter, Tracey McLaurin and her husband Kenneth, of Winchester, Virginia; two grandsons; Aaron and Logan McLaurin; two sisters, Priscilla Ann Timbrook and Barbara Jean Milburn, both of Bunker Hill, West Virginia; and one brother, William Milburn, III and his wife Lillie, of Summit Point, West Virginia as well as many extended family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2016, one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM at Omps Amherst Chapel, Winchester.
The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation on Friday at 11:00 AM at Omps Amherst Chapel with Reverend Pete Wadsworth officiating. Jim’s family is requesting that all who attend honor him by dressing casual for the service. Interment will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
