James F. Dutterer
James Franklin Dutterer, 77, of Winchester, Virginia, died peacefully on January 26, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Dutterer was born October 4, 1937, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late William F. and Mary B. Dutterer. He was the youngest of seven siblings. Jim is survived by one sister and many nieces and nephews. He was a 1956 graduate of James Wood High School.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1963. While stationed in Germany he met his future bride, the former Erika K. Kress. They recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on January 12, 2015. Surviving with his wife is their only son, Robert J. Dutterer, also of Winchester and grandchildren, Victoria M. Dutterer at UVA and Sophia P. Dutterer at CNU. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He retired from General Motors, while also owning and operating a plumbing and electrical business for the past 40 years. He was a devout member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating.
Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
