My condolences to Jim's family... Jim & I became friends in the late 90's I was an auctioneer and he was looking for a tractor w/ a loader. We went on several memorable road trips looking for Jim a tractor. We finally located a Massey Ferguson he fell in love with and we managed to bring it home. He was very happy with his tractor and the stories he shared with us tracking it down and making the purchase. I loved listening to his stories, we met for lunch many times over the years , sometimes with Dave Fahnestock at Shoney's, Papermill Place, Applebees. Our favorite place was the "Smokey Pig" in Ashland , Va. we ate there when searching for his tractor. I vistited Jim while he was meat cutter at the Market in Middletown. Me & Jim loved to eat and travel around looking at things he was a great guy & I will sadly miss him. I will never forget you James Patton RIP

Gay Ann, I was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. You certainly have my sympathy. Also I was surprised that you married in 1958! 65 years together of Christian living. I hope you stay well. I cannot come to the service tomorrow.

Sending prayers and hugs for all of the Patton family. You hold special childhood memories for me and our time at Burnt Church. Jimmy was one of my daddy’s very best friends. I know they are enjoying a cup of coffee and a story.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
