James Curtis “J.C.” Lambert, 65, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at University of Virginia Hospital.
J.C. was born in 1953 in Leesburg, Virginia, the son of the late James and Erma Lambert. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1973, and was accepted into the Billy Graham College in Minnesota, and in 1988 earned a supervisory certificate from Lord Fairfax Community College. J.C. was employed at General Electric for 26 years. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, enjoyed traveling and fishing in Minnesota. J.C. played golf with the GE Golf League and was a member of Carpers Valley Golf Club, he even golfed with the Pro’s in Florida and Myrtle Beach. He was a bowler and bowled with Pro-Bowlers in Pennsylvania. In 1988 J.C. participated in the Apple Blossom 10K Race.
Surviving are sisters, Bonnie Flynn (Bill) of Stephens City, Virginia and Jo Ann Passmore (Jeff) of Winchester, Virginia; brothers, Mike and Eddie Lambert both of Winchester, Virginia, Jack Lambert of Stephens City, Virginia, and Ric Lambert (Paula) of Bunker Hill, West Virginia.
Along with his parents J.C. was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Mae Lambert and a brother, Kenny Lambert.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Phil Brumback officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Lambert, Ric Lambert, Aaron Stickman, Wayne Stickman, Mike Stickman, and Glen Welsh.
