James “Jamie” Allen Dove, Jr., 57, of Wardensville, West Virginia passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Jamie was born in 1960 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Betty (Wilson) Dove and James Dove, Sr.; stepson of Jeanne McIntosh. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Jamie was a bartender, construction worker and a climber for tree work. He enjoyed metal detecting, hunting, and fishing, as well as reading Civil War history. Jamie was a great storyteller with a marvelous sense of humor.
Surviving with his stepmother, Jeanne, are sons, James Allen Heath, Sr., Eddie Ray Heath, and their mother, Barbara Heath; his loving partner, Cynthia Jones; stepdaughters, Ashley Barranco and Cynthia Goodwin; grandchildren, E.J., Devin, Drake, Jazmine Heath and James Heath, Jr.; step grandchildren, Lena Goodwin and AJ Timmons; sisters, Brenda Dove Ernst, Denise Dove Alderman, Deanne Ingrid Dove, Joy Martin Peoples, and Maria Martin; also survived by his many loving nieces, Jessica Ernst Yi, Katie Ernst Barton, Karen Goodwin, Josey Rivera, Delilah Rivera and nephews, Jeremy Dove and Stephen Denu, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 22nd, from 12 pm to 4 pm at Arkansaw Community Center, 262 Arkansaw Road, Baker, West Virginia. The family would appreciate those attending to bring a covered dish to share.
