Jacqulyn Rae Simpson, age seventy-eight, passed peacefully Thursday, 7/9/2015 in Edmond, Oklahoma.  She was a resident of Winchester, Virginia. 

Jackie was the wife of HB Simpson and they shared fifty-four years of marriage together.  She was born February 17th, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was the daughter of Thomas Bradford Forth and Margaret Imogen Forth.   She is survived by her children Phillip Simpson and wife Patricia Simpson, Drew Simpson, Bradford Simpson and wife Vivian Barrondes and Laurie Frogale and husband Robert Frogale as well as eleven loving grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.     

She was employed with Annandale Millwork & Allied Systems Corp. as manager of Allied Self Storage. 

Her activities included membership with the local Republican Party, Chamber of Commerce and Top of Virginia Builder’s Association. 

Her hobbies included reading, painting, gardening and sharing quality time with family and friends. 

Jackie will be remembered as a loving and caring matriarch and for her passion for life as well as her compassionate spirit.    

 

Viewing will be at Omps Funeral Home on Wednesday 7/15/2015 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 1600 Amherst Street Winchester, VA 22601.  Funeral services will be held at Braddock Street United Methodist Church at 115 Wolfe Street Winchester, VA 22601 on Thursday 7/16/2015 at 11:00am. 

Burial will take place at Mount Hebron Cemetery following services.

Steve, Katie and I send our condolences to HB, Laurie, Brad and the entire Simpson clan. We were heartbroken to learn of Jackie's illness and passing. She was a wonderful, loving woman who radiated warmth and kindness. Some of our happiest memories of Jackie are of the Christmas holidays at Laurie and Rob's house when all of the Frogales and Simpsons gathered to celebrate. Jackie helped make these gatherings memorable. She sought out every family member to find out how they were doing and if some were absent she inquired about them, too. We looked forward to our visits, especially our chats with Jackie. She will be missed.
