Jacob William Friend, 33, of Cross Junction, Virginia, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Jacob was born on September 27, 1992, in Takoma Park, Maryland, the son of Steven “Steve” Friend and the late Nancy Friend (Fleming). He was a graduate of James Wood High School and went on to work as a dedicated laborer for Rice Tire, as an expert in tire solutions.

A man who truly loved the outdoors, Jacob was an avid fisherman and hunter. He thoroughly enjoyed golfing, spending time at the beach, and had a well-known passion for setting off fireworks. Jacob was a faithful member of Crossroads Church in Martinsburg.

He is survived by his significant other, Taylor Parker; his beloved son, Jacob Friend, Jr.; his father, Steven Friend; his two sisters, Casey Friend, and Lauren Friend; and his brother, Steven Friend, Jr. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Nancy.

Services for Jacob will be at a later date.
