Jackson “Jake” Hutchinson, Jr., 23, of Berryville, VA, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Inova Fairfax Hospital following a tragic motorcycle accident on May 13, 2024.
Jake was born in 2000 in Wilmington, OH, the son of Jackson Hutchinson, Sr. and Victoria Hutchinson. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal (LCpl). After his active service for his country Jake was employed at Dulles Motor Cars as an Automotive Tech. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Jake was a proud Marine that loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a master of the grill, a gamer, and enjoyed fishing (especially with his Dad). His kindness was not only to the human race, but was also displayed for his love of dogs. Jake’s greatest passion was riding his motorcycle and was proud to be an organ donor.
Surviving with his parents is a sister, Samantha Tennant (Matthew); brothers, Steven Hutchinson (Danielle) and Michael Hutchinson; paternal grandparents, Joanne and John Hutchinson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Susan Culver (Gene) and Richard Yentzer; and extended family including nephews, a niece, cousins, aunts, uncles and two best friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2774 Northwestern Pike, Winchester, VA with Pastor Steven Rebert officiating. A fellowship reception will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jake’s memory to Bill Rice Ranch, 627 Bill Rice Ranch Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37128, where Jake attended as a camper then later served as a ranch hand and as a cowboy.
