I remember all the fun times I had with Jackie growing up. I used to love riding in the back of his big pick up truck and spending Friday nights with him and Mimi and getting Melting Pot. He took me to haunted houses and taught me to hustle carnival games. I will miss him but he was in so much pain and I'm glad he is with Jesus now.

Friends, it is with a saddened heart that I said a final goodbye to my moms husband, Jackie Sowers, yesterday. I pray that he was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus and that he finally achieved rest and peace from his suffering and sickness. I've never seen someone fight so hard and love living so much. I can only hope to be half as good a fighter as that when my time comes. I will cherish memories of good conversations we had and also learning about how to buy silver Morgans from him. Rest in peace with Jesus, Jackie.
