Catherine Springmann left a message on May 17, 2020:
Jack had such an infectious smile, and had an anecdote for any occasion! I think he knew the details of every house in Winchester and Frederick County. He also loved to play Santa Clause at the hospital, and came to the Rehab Center in his Santa suit at Christmas for many years. Even the adult Rehab patients loved to see Santa! He and Brookie were dedicated to Winchester, and will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.

Jack was one of the first people I got to know when arriving in Winchester. He was one of kind, from that first meeting to his last days. He and Brookie were such a pair. I am so blessed to have known them all my years here and will miss them so much.

Jack was a fellow Realtor with whom I worked with many times over the last 45 years or so. I believe he was one of the most ethical people I have ever known. He was a true gentleman.

Donn and I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Jack's family. We have know Jack for many years and he has helped in finding housing and rental of a townhouse for us. I (Lori) first met Jack in 1984 when he found me a house after moving to Winchester. Jack was always pleasant, friendly, professional and informative. He will be missed. Donn and Lori

Although I only knew Jack for the past few years, he left me with a lot of wonderful memories. He was very kind and generous and had a great sense of humor. He could light up a room. Everyone knew Jack, and if you didn’t know Jack, and lived in Winchester, you didn’t “know jack”.
