Irene Genevieve Shifflett Mowbray, 88, of Frederick County, VA died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Mowbray was born in 1924 in Elkton, Virginia, the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Shifflett. She was a homemaker, and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mrs. Mowbray was married to Maynard F. Mowbray, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2002.

She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Moore and Mary Kline, both of Winchester, VA, and Patricia I. Graham of Sacramento, CA; a son, John F. Mowbray of Winchester; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mowbray was preceded in death by a son, Ronald W. Mowbray, Sr.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday at Elk Run Cemetery, Elkton, VA

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
