Amy, Charlie and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. To say I care and understand is so little, but with love and prayers, you and your family are held in love and God's grace. May the warmth of your shared love keep you and your family through the difficult times and strengthen you. With love, Charlie and Dinah Krause

Amy, I will always remember how happy you were when you found love with Howard. What a great guy, the love that shown between you both was beautiful and how it flowed to Ethan and Emma was wonderful. He was such a dotting father to Ethan from joking around with him to capturing every moment of his 8th grade graduation ceremony. My husband and I sat behind you at the graduation mass. Howie was sitting in the pew across from you just so he could better pictures of Ethan. I would watch you glance over at him with such love and desire to be with him. I could tell how strong your love was, you needed him sitting right next to you. What a blessing he was to you and all who knew him. Hug to You, Ethan, Emma and all your family. Jeanne, Zachary and Katherine Barb

From visiting him at "The Beach" when he was just a kid (age 4-6) to big kid sitting as he grew up (age7-9), crabbing, fishing, boating, eating a ton of burgers at Carrol's, and cruising "The Strip" were some of the favorite things we did together when Howard was young. We continued to fish, body board, and "Beach It' when the families would get together. As our lives changed and the distance from Va. Beach grew we stayed in touch by phone and emails. We got together when he and Amy and family would come back to visit "The Beach". Howard was always the Big Guy with the big smile and bigger laugh. One of his last trips was to get the family all together for his mom"s 83rd Birthday. He was so happy when he and Amy met and were married, and so proud to become a Dad when he adopted Ethan. He loved Amy,Ethan, and Emma very much. We will keep his blond hair, big smile, and bigger laugh in our memories, and his loving spirit in our hearts. We will all miss him. cousin Bill

This was Howards last entry on facebook, it said alot, " Happy Fathers day to all you dads out there. This is my first true Fathers day since adopting Ethan. Just wish my dad was still around to meet my amazing son." I'm so glad he got to accomplish so much before he left. He was so proud of his family and loved them dearly. I wish he was in by backyard grilling an arguing with me. brotherinlaw, Mike
