Hildegard D. Hefele

Hildegard Dorothea Neuss Hefele, 81, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Hefele was born in 1929, in Gottingen, Germany, the daughter of the late August Hermann and Friederike Amalie Neuss. She was employed as an accountant at the Manheim Auto Auction in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was of the Lutheran faith.

She married Charles Edward Hefele on December 28, 1966, in Rockville, Maryland.

Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Tina Hughes, her husband, John and their children, Zachary and Timothy Hughes; sister, Inga Neuss of Vienna, Austria. One sister, Annalisa Kiel and one brother, Theo Neuss, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Monday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening prior to the service from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Methodist Church, 2732 Martinsburg Pike, Stephenson, Virginia, 22656 or National Stroke Association, 9707 East Easter Lane, Centennial, Colorado 80112.
