Hilda Marie Smith, 84, of Herndon, VA, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at a local assisted living facility.

Miss Smith was born in Toronto, Canada in 1925, the daughter of the late Earl and Sammie Smith. She was a computer analyst for Blue Cross/Blue Shield until her retirement in 1988. She graduated from John Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Surviving are two brothers, William E. Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and Don C. Smith of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Norma G. Smith of Tucson, AZ; six nieces and two nephews. One brother and one sister preceded her In death.

A memorial service will be held in Frankfort, KY at the Antioch Church of Christ at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, VA.
