Henrietta F. Brandofino
Mrs. Henrietta Frances “Brandy” Brandofino, age 93, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Brandofino was born in 1920 in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Camillo and Marianne C. DeFrancesco. She worked in retail sales both at J. C. Penny and Bells Clothes. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Brandy was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother; she will be remembered for the love of her home and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially “Peach”.
She married Paul John Brandofino on June 9, 1946 in Queens, New York. Mr Brandofino preceded her in death on March 23, 1996.
Surviving is a daughter, Ann Brandofino Lewis and husband, Phillip Edward of Winchester, Virginia, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Marie Williams of Jackson Heights, New York. She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlo DeFrancesco.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with a Rosary service at 6:00 P.M.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Mrs. Brandofino’s memory be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 130 Keating Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
