Dear Greg and Susan, I have such sweet memories of summer vacation at Grandma's house on East Piccadilly and beautiful Aunt Helen bringing you over to play with us while she and Mom would sit on the front porch catching up on everything that had happened during the year. We were kids without a care in this world because of the fantastic parents we all had who raised us in loving Christian homes. Sweet memories, I loved your Mom, she was always so kind to us and had such a gentle humble spirit. She will be missed. Love, Gayla

I worked with Helen for many years at Valley Home Care and loved her dearly, she taught me the virtue of being accurate and always did so with kindness. She was the true personification of the word "lady" and I admired her greatly. I nicknamed her "Ruth" in my head, because I thought she was like Ruth in the Bible--true to herself, her family and her God. I actually have to search in my name for her "real" name when I am thinking of her. I knew your Dad too, from Valley Medical Transport and remember he was one of the founding "fathers". My love and prayers go out to your family. What a wonderful Mom and Dad you still have, they loved you greatly and are just waiting on the other side patiently.

The hardest thing in life is to lose a loved one. My grandma was very special to me and our family. My heart is broken over losing her. She will be missed dearly, but she will remain in my heart. She is at peace now and no longer has to suffer. I know we will meet again and when we do she will wait for me with her wings wide open...my angel my grandma. I will always love you grandma and you'll always be in my heart.
