Dear Caroline and family, I am so saddened to learn of Harry's passing. He was bigger than life... yet always humble, kind, gracious, and smiling. I enjoyed so much the times I got to sit there in the breakfast nook area of the Bigfork house, having coffee, and listening to Harry's experiences, funny stories, and knowledge of history. He was a wonderful man with a big heart, and he will be missed by so many. I know he loved his family more than anything in the world, and it was always a joy to see how much he adored Caroline, and she adored him... My prayers are with you, especially, Caroline. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Tony Dorrell left a message on September 29, 2022:
Harry was a friend and classmate of mine at Mont Alto Forestry School in 1950, and at Penn State in 1951-54. At Mont Alto we were teammates on the soccer team, and at Penn State we were in the same dormitory for our sophomore year. We then lived in separate fraternities only one block apart, so saw each other a lot. After graduation and our work careers, we reunited as members of our informal "Old Foresters" group of Alumni. This has kept us in touch for about the last 30 years. I am saying goodbye to a very good man I first met over 70 years ago. Goodby Harry! to a friend of over 70 years. Thank you

Re: Passing of Harry J. Solomon Dear Solomon Family- It's a regret that will remain with me til my life's end: Following graduation, I never got to see Harry again. He was not even in our Class of '54 grad photo! Still, as I received news of his retiring in Montana from Tony Dorrell, I had at least one chat with him and asked about his combat experience. I shared my brother's experience as a USNA grad and career carrier pilot in Viet Nam and then Sixth Fleet. He saw much deadly action. I may also have briefed him on my own enlistment, Basic Training, OCS, COE training and commission, and then as Unit Engineer Officer, Mountain and Cold Weather Training Command in Colorado. One by one, we are falling by the wayside, but hope, pray, and believe we may be reunited in the Great Beyond - Native words meaning heaven and in the arms of the Great Spirit (Wakon Tanka). Til we meet again at the end of the trail. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Rod Cobi 4604 Perkins Road, Apt. I-2 Baton Rouge, LA 70808 225-295-9559 cobicli@gmail.con
