Harry Allen Boyles III
Harry Allen “H.A.” Boyles III, age 68 of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 2, 2015 surrounded by his family.
H.A. was born in 1946 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Harry Allen, Jr. and Lillian C. Boyles. He was a graduate of James Wood High School Class of 1965. He was a mechanic at Berryville Graphics for 40 years prior to his retirement in January of 2008. He was a veteran having served in the Air National Guard and was a member of Winchester Eagles Club.
H.A. was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being surrounded by nature. He loved spending time at the beach, especially Nags Head, NC. His utmost passion was gardening. He had a beautiful vegetable garden each year and shared his harvest with family and friends. In addition to his gardening, he also enjoyed planting trees. He was a handyman who could fix just about anything.
H.A. married Ann Bridges on August 4, 1973 in Frederick County, VA. They shared almost 42 years of marriage. He was a beloved father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Tina Boyles Kerr and husband, Michael; a son, Chad A. Boyles and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Camryn Boyles and Chase Boyles; and sister, Beverly Clowser and husband, Doug. His sister, Sandra Carper, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Dr. Kenneth Patrick officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Stewart, Jeff Bridges, Terry Salvador, Ronnie Cooke, Gary Belford, and Doug Rinker.
