Guido H. Borsi
Guido Augusto Henry Borsi, age 72, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, August 24, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Borsi was born in 1939 in Melbourne, Australia, the son of the late Giovanni and Daphne Borsi. He was Operations Manager at Rich Products in Winchester and in Hilliard, Ohio, retiring in 2000. He held a Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He married Deborah Louise Plank on December 30, 1988. His first wife, Mary Elizabeth Smith Borsi preceded him in death January, 1986.
Surviving with his wife are five daughters, Dawn Edwards of Fishers, IN, Linda Hamill and husband, John, of Australia, Christine Long and husband, Kenny, of Augusta, WV, Deanna Plasters and Giovanna “Gina” Borsi, both of Winchester; eight grandchildren, Forrest, Sydney, and Gabrielle Edwards, Ashton and Michaela Hamill, Jared Rodgers, Hanna and Kasey Plasters, a sister, Emilia Borsi of Englewood, NJ, and a brother, Carlo Borsi and wife Dianne of Aurora, CO.
Guido enjoyed old toys, classic cars, and flea marketing with friends. He took pleasure in his many and varied pets, maintaining a life-long appreciation for reptiles and amphibians.
He remained a long-suffering New York Jets fan.
Most of all, Guido valued, enjoyed, appreciated and loved his wonderful family. Through them, he felt simpatico with life.
A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.
