Gordon C. “Bill” Hildebrand

Gordon Christian “Bill” Hildebrand, 91, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mr.  Hildebrand was born in 1924 in Curtin, West Virginia, the son of the late George C. and Minnie V Hildebrand. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Hildebrand was a retired Machinist with Crown, Cork & Seal Company. He was a member of Brucetown United Methodist Church.

He married Florence Elizabeth Mauzy Hildebrand in 1950. She preceded him in death in 2009.

Surviving is his daughter, Kathy Headley of White Post; son, Michael Hildebrand and wife, Susie of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren Holly Braithwaite of White Post, Ashley Headley of Winchester, Joshua Headley and wife, Caroline, of Arlington, Virginia, Brian Hildebrand and wife, Jessica, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and Daniel Hildebrand of Richmond.

Two sisters, Mary Ellen Castleman, Goldie Emgee and two brothers, William and Fred Hildebrand, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00–11:00 AM at Brucetown United Methodist Church, 2161 Brucetown Road, Clear Brook, Virginia, 22624.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Brucetown United Methodist Church with Pastor Yun Kim officiating. Interment will be private.
