Gloria Jean Garrett Frye

Gloria Jean Garrett Frye, 65, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Frye was born in 1945 in Winchester, Virginia the daughter of the late Robert Cleveland and Ellen Virginia Garrett. She was a homemaker and formerly a member of Rosedale Baptist in Winchester, Virginia. Mrs. Frye was a former volunteer and past President of Round Hill Fire and Rescue Women’s Auxiliary, in Winchester, Virginia.

She married John Samuel Frye on December 28, 1968, in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with her husband of 41 years, is her son, Brian Frye and wife, Stacey of Winchester, two grandchildren, Rebecca and Anthony; sisters, Linda Rosenberger, Kitty Armel and husband, Harry “Junior”, all of Winchester, Virginia and two brothers, Robert Junior Garrett and wife Denise, of Stephens City, Virginia and Charles Garrett and wife, Liz, of Frederick County, Virginia. She will be greatly missed by many extended family and friends.

Infant son, David Frye, preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday in Timberidge Cemetery Frederick County, Virginia, with Mr. David A. Owings officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
