Glen Adam Smith
Glen Adam Smith, 68 of Stephens City, Virginia, died Thursday, February 11, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Smith was born in 1941, in Uppertrack, West Virginia, the son of the late Adam and Zella Smith. He was a retired employee of FEMA and previously the owner and operator of Glens Gulf Service Center in Stephens City, Virginia. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War while stationed in Korea. Mr. Smith attended Stephens City United Methodist Church.
His wife, Dru Ellen Gillum Smith, preceded him in death on January 23, 2004.
Surviving are his sons, Jimmy Smith and his wife, Genet, and their children, Forrest and Blake Smith, Ashlyn and Kara Thacker, all of Stephens City, Virginia; Eric E. Smith his significant other, Cheryl Smith and her son Garrett, all of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia; four sisters, Pauline, Birdy, Hazel and Esta, and one brother, Dayton. He is preceded in death by four other siblings.
A funeral service will be conducted on at 11:00 AM, Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Jason Duley officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel
