Gerald Douglas “Doug” Dusing, Jr., 46, of Bunker Hill, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Doug was born in 1977 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Gerald Douglas Dusing, Sr. and Janie Mae (Foster) Dusing. He was a graduate of Musselman High School, Class of 1995 and also attended the Nashville Diesel Institute, graduating in 1997 with his associate degree. Doug previously worked as a mechanic for Potomac Edison. He attended Inwood Family Worship Center. Doug was known for his help in the community and his kind heart. He never went anywhere without knowing someone. Doug was a family man from the beginning. He was always willing to help anyone he could and was always so dedicated to helping his kids with their fair projects and tractor pulling. Doug enjoyed tractor pulling and was a member of the Winchester Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, whom he married on March 9, 2007; his two children, Savannah and Austin Dusing of Bunker Hill, WV; sister, Sherri Castleman and his niece, Brittany Castleman both of Inwood, WV; in-laws, Roger and Ann Baker of Winchester, VA; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Jane Dusing.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Doug on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1p at Inwood Family Worship Center, Inwood, WV.

Our sincere condolences to the Dusing family for this tragic and sudden loss. Doug was a very thoughtful and caring person and will be greatly missed in the community.

My deepest condolences to his family and there’s many memories can share but he was always a upbeat friend and many of good times hanging out when we were younger

You were true to who you were, funny, and always willing to serve others. I thought you would always be around. This is so tough. Heaven though...is only sweeter. You will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family. I was one of Doug’s high school classmates. I will never forget his mom and him cheering me on at several southern gospel competitions at Watermelon Park throughout high school. He was such a kind hearted person and I will never forget that. Our hearts may be breaking but I’m sure heaven is rejoicing as it welcomed Doug.

Deepest sympathies to Jennifer, Savannah, and Austin. Doug was such a kind man. Always lending a helping hand and he was someone who never met a stranger. A man who was dedicated to the youth of his community rather it was coaching soccer, supporting the fair, 4-H, and FFA, or tractor pulling. Doug loved his family with all his might and was always so proud of his children and their accomplishments. You will be greatly missed my friend. May you rest in peace.

RIP "little" cousin. From my earliest memory of you as an infant, to your big bear hugs, to your giant helping heart to the last quick exchange on which diesel engine, I have loved and adored you.
