George Robert McCann

George Robert McCann, 64, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. McCann was born in 1946 in Rockville Centre, New York, the son of the late Douglas Edward and Ann McCann, Jr. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church. Mr. McCann was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force, where he retired as Senior Master Sergeant.

Surviving with his wife, Elvira Silvia “Vera” Salazar McCann; are two children, Kimberly Baker of Winchester and Robert McCann and his wife, Denise of Waldorf, Maryland; four grandchildren, Devin and Haley Baker and Tyler and Danielle McCann; one great grandchild, Rylee Baker; two sisters, Barbara Frimodig and her husband, Carl and Donna Vollmer, all of Florida; a brother, Douglas McCann and his wife, Cheryl of Florida; and sister and brother in law, Elia and Tom Trujillo of Arizona.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church with Pastor Don DenHartog officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Bible Church, 3217 Middle Road, Winchester, Virginia 22602 or to charity of donor’s choice.
