The Miller family was especially kind to my sister, Beverly Hoffmaster, a local educator & former WV teacher of the Year, who was honored to represent the Miller's Apple Valley dealership in carrying the Olympic Torch several years ago when the torch came through Martinsburg. George, John, Bob Colson and the entire Miller "Family" welcomed our family to events and festivities with open arms. Beverly was treated like royalty. They operated their business the same way. George is now reaping his reward for an honest life and fair business, Donna, our thoughts and prayers will uphold you in the times ahead. John, know that your brother is always beside you and continue the legacy you have worked together to build. May God rock the Miller family in his arms in the days ahead

Our prayers and thought are with your family. George was a very special cousin i always wanted a brother and somehow he seemed just right. I have a little story about his dad, my uncle Jim, my father, George, would not get a car anywhere but from his brother. In going through family things I found an old bill af sale from uncle Jim to my dad that simply said George will pay for the car when he returns from his vacation. I have great memories of our visits to the old garage on Front Royal Road. We love you. want to share just a few lines from a favorite poem Remember I have fought some hard battles And won, ere the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day. But in summer just gather some flowers And remember the place where I lay, And come in the shade of evening, When the sun paints the sky in the west. Stand for a few moments beside me And remember only my best. Much love to all Sherry Miller Fulk, Rodney Fulk, Randy Fulk and family, Gina F. and Donn Hicks and Family

Donna and the rest of George's family: We hardly know where to begin, other than to express our sincere sadness and sympathy, upon learning of George' passing Sunday. All who knew George have lost a wonderful, caring person. He is without equal. Our family has known yours for over 30 years and we can't say enough about the kind of man George was. He loved his family and cared about his friends, and he sure loved you, Donna. He was loyal and kindness rolled into one. He loved a good joke and had an impish grin. Our family (Bob, Linda, Chrissy, Bobby, & Darin) thought there was no one like him. We shared a lot of the same interests like our shelties and the car business. The words are hard to come by, but know there was no one we thought more of. He leaves a void for many. George will be sorely missed. Love Bob & Linda Neal

Donna, I am so sorry for your loss but from what I understand the big guy was not doing very well. I will remember our trips with Chrysler. Especially playing Golf with that sly very competitive rascal. Sure glad I was his partner!! Gail and I wish you well. John, I cant imagine what you are dealing with but working all these years with Took may tell me something. I always admired George and what he accomplished along with you, always striving to do it the right way which we know is not easy. But we are in a business where you must handle it and move on. Not bad advice since we have the wonderful memories of George to fall back on. Quite a guy. Take care. Rick Kern

George Miller was an inspiration, mentor and friend to a young country boy who was trying to become an automobile dealer. Generous with his knowledge and time (as long as you drove!), George represents all that is good about this small fraternity to which we proudly belong. Whenever someone would speak disparagingly about car dealers, I would always use George and John Miller as examples of how to do it correctly, in all phases of the business. Today I heard the sad sad news of George's passing. I cannot express how this makes my heart ache. He was one of the most gentle, kind souls I have ever met. He was a very good businessman and one of the best the autosales industry had to represent it. I knew him through my father, Bob Neal. We went to auctions together when I was a teenager. He always was special. From the first meeting with him I always felt comfortable and important to him. He had that way about him. When you were in his presence you were his focus. I loved stopping to visit him whenever I was near one of the dealerships. I was always met with a warm smile and a huge hug. The Miller family is much larger than those that share his last name. I know there are many others like me who he has touched so deeply that he will never be forgotten. Deepest sympathies.....Christina-Marie Neal Burns (or Chrissy as he knew me)
