Eddie, you will be missed as a good neighbor and friend. You were always helpful, like when we planted trees in the common. My grandson remembers you as riding your bicycle. We will all remember your smile and wave when we passed your house. Rest in peace dear friend. Brenda and family.

Eddie, in Basketball,, and his Brother, Burr, in Track, were truly amazing athletes … perhaps the best of all the Brother groups to attend Handley. Strength and determination were the reasons for their remarkable success. You had to see them in action to realize how special they were … truly unforgettable.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

Lyndsi May left a message on October 4, 2023:
He was known by others for his basketball records and hard work as a deputy, but for me he was my sweet Grandaddy Ed. I’ve always held a soft spot in my heart for him and enjoyed being able to spend time in that little tv room at his house. He didn’t always talk much and had a hard time hearing too, but he always gave me a smile. When I was little, I would play checkers while he shared his orange slice candy with me and watched basketball. As I grew older, he loved coming to watch my kids carry on his legacy and play basketball. Every time we took a trip to Chuck E.Cheese, he was sure to show the kids and my husband his shooting techniques. He was often busy traveling off to new adventures and my life got busy with my family, but I always knew he was proud of me and I can only hope he knew how much I loved and cared for him. I will always carry a piece of him in my heart and picture that adorable grin and sparkle in his eye. I’m looking forward to the day I can see that again in heaven. I pray that you are now resting in peace, I love you Grandaddy Ed!
