Gene R. Haislip
Gene R. Haislip, 73, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, in his home.
Mr. Haislip was born in 1938, in Danville, Virginia, the son of the late Otis and Mary Haislip. He was an Attorney with the DEA retiring in 1997, having 22 years of service, later becoming the owner of Haislip Consulting. He was a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the William and Mary Alumni Association. Mr. Haislip was a graduate of William and Mary School of Law and George Washington School of Law.
He married Patricia Blanton on March 27, 1960, in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Wrenn Taylor Haislip of Arlington, Virginia, Lee Brannan Haislip and wife, Day, of Safety Harbor, Florida; granddaughter, Caroline Dawn Haislip; sister, Mary Elizabeth Ball of Gloucester, Virginia and brother, Otis Lee Haislip of Williamsburg, Virginia.
A Celebration of life will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, 901 Amherst Street, Winchester, Virignia. Interment will be private.
