My condolence to the family. Gary and I had good times in school. He had a great personality it was fun to be with. We grew apart in the years but always spoke when we ran into each other about the good old times . He will be missed.
Randy Gardner left a message on October 31, 2020:
Oh my heart breaks for Gloria and Arlo’s family and loved ones. What an awesome man I had the privilege to cross paths with. In one word, and he did a lot of one word comments, he could boost your confidence in the blink of an eye. He did that for me. I was in the studio with him and laid a solo track down and he said “Gold”, looked around and said, “Gold”. I would humbly say that he was the gold among us. I ended up in Gallup NM and later in Nashville TN thanks to his encouragement. I will never forget and I will cherish forever a celebratory night out on the road when we band members were hanging out in a motel room, nothing to do, not much money between four of us and the door flew open to the room. There was Arlo standing in the doorway with his dark (ZZ Top Cheap Sunglasses), with two bottles of Tequila in each hand. “Line em up” he said and I think that was the night two of us woke up on the floor and I woke up sideways in a chair! We spent the next day quietly at the pool. We drifted apart after our western excursions but I have to say it, I loved the man, his voice and his persona. “Best of Luck” Thank you dear sir. Rest In Peace brother, Rg.
