Frederick K. Yosca
Frederick Karl Herbert Yosca, age 91, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center. Mr. Yosca was born in 1923 in Corona, New York, the son of the late Sebastian and Elizabeth Yosca. Frederick was a veteran of World War II, having served in North Africa and Italy with the United States Army. He was employed as a Vice President with World Wide Advertising. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Frederick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He married Anne Cecilia Lynagh on November 23, 1950 in West Hempstead, New York.
Surviving with his wife is his daughter, Anne Marie Massale and husband, John of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Richard Woolard and wife, Sandra of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Frederick S. Yosca and wife, Patricia of Lynbrook, New York, William K. Yosca and wife, Kate of New Freedom. Pennsylvania, and Kevin John Yosca and Donna of Merrick, New York; nine grandchildren; Jennifer, John Paul, Pamela, Matthew, Luke, Jenna, Timothy, John Frederick and Ryan, six great grandchildren; Alexander, Nicholas, Samuel, Robert, Aidan and Avery Anne, and sister Virginia Schmitz of Cutchogue, New York.
He was preceded in death by his sister Catherine Wardach and brother Vincent P. Yosca.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Brendan Bartlett officiating. Interment will be private at a later date in Mount Hebron Cemetery where military honors will be afforded by V.F.W. Post 2123.
