Frank H. Cooper
Frank Henry Cooper, 93, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mr. Cooper was born in 1921, in Gore, Virginia, the son of the late Joseph and Lula (McIlwee) Cooper. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Cooper was a salesperson for Truck Suppliers retiring in 1987 and was also an avid bowler, golfer and horseshoe pitcher.
His wife, Laura Naomi “Shorty” Cooper, preceded him in death in 1991.
Surviving is his daughter, Karol Howell (Tom); sons, Joe Cooper (Barbara), Brad Cooper and Frank Cooper (Laverne); six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Racey, Pauline Brown, Mary Booker; brothers, Doug Cooper and Bobby Cooper. He is also survived by his dear friend, Freda Kines.
One sister, Georgie Peffer and two brothers, Eddie Cooper and Buck Cooper, preceded him in death.
All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, will be private.
