Francis Paul MacDonald, Sr.

Francis Paul MacDonald, Sr., 43, of Frederick County, Virginia died Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. MacDonald was born in 1967 in Northampton, Massachusetts the son of Leo Francis and Ruthellen MacDonald of Manassas, Virginia. He was a self-employed carpenter, and he attended Osbourne High School in Manassas. He played on the Osbourne High School football team and was a member of the Manassas Swim Club.

He married Cynthia Ann Davis MacDonald on June 24, 2006 in Winchester, Virginia.

Surviving with his parents and his wife are two daughters, Brandi MacDonald of West Virginia, Destiny Stokes of Winchester, four sons, Francis P. MacDonald, Jr., Devin Stokes and Donnie Poling, all of Winchester, Virginia, and James Shields of Maryland; granddaughter, Cailynn Dorsey; four sisters, Suellen A. MacDonald of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, Sally Jara of Manassas, Wendie J. MacDonald of Manassas and Emily Moskey of Bunker Hill, West Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Rick Kerfoot officiating. Private interment will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Francis to a trust fund for his children to Cynthia MacDonald P.O. Box 1641, Winchester, Virginia 22604.
