My Pappaw was a wonderful grandfather. Some of my favorite memories of him are centered around cooking. It was through him that I learned how to cook. He taught me the right way to use a knife to chop and dice food. He had a passion for all things cooking and food related. He loved being in the kitchen and creating dishes to share with his loved ones. I remember making homemade meatballs, spaghetti sauce, and garlic bread with him on many occasions. He always had a cookbook within reach and knew which wine would pair best with any dish. As I got older and cooked more for my own family, and contributed dishes to family functions, he always made it a point to tell me how good my dish was, no matter what I made. I will continue to cook and make my food with love, just as he did. Love you forever Pappaw.
