Frances Joan Lee (Edmonson), 82, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Born February 24, 1944, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Washington Edmonson and Brownie Catherine Foltz Edmonson. Frances was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1962.
Frances retired after 33 years of dedicated service as a cashier with Potomac Edison. She was a member of First Calvary Church of the Brethren. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and lovingly made dresses for dolls. She also shared her talents by participating in the yearly auction for the Henry Evans Home and found joy in playing the piano.
On April 24, 1966, she married her beloved husband, Eugene B. Lee, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her siblings, Margie Wilkins (David) of Winchester, Virginia, Larry Edmonson (Jeannie) of Winchester, Virginia, and Wayne Edmonson of Winchester, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Johnson, and her brother, Mark Edmonson.
The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike with Lay Pastor Ed Lambert officiating. Burial will be private.
