Frances “Franny” Reba Grim Martin, 90, of Stephenson, Virginia, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born in 1925, in White Post, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harvey Melton Grim and Blanche Grim Hall. Mrs. Martin has been a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Frederick County, Virginia since her marriage in 1946. She was a member of Winchester Moose Lodge #1283, Elks Lodge BPOE#867 and Winchester Eagles Aerie #824. She enjoyed working at Camp Massanetta Church Camp where she helped by preparing the camp and cooking for over 13 years.

She married Rudolph “Rudy” Clayton Martin on August 31, 1946, in Albin, Virginia. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1999.

Surviving is her daughter, Linda Martin of Stephenson, Virginia; son, Phillip Keith Martin of Inwood, West Virginia; grandchildren, Zorina Sale, Zebulon Sale, Matthew Travis Martin, Andrea Martin Kaval, Sarah Martin; and four great grandchildren.

Two grandchildren, Derek Daniel Sale, Emily Ann Martin, one sister and two brothers, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 2077 North Frederick Pike, Winchester, Virginia, with Reverend Dr. David Young officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
