Frances “Dee” Holler-Dulaney of Winchester Virginia, formally of Sunnyside Retirement Community in Harrisonburg, Virginia, passed away on December 26, 2023 at her residence with her family. Dee was the daughter of the late Hosea and Bersie Turner of Spencer, Virginia. Dee was born on March 6th 1936.
Dee graduated from Dewey Mason High School in Ridgeway Virginia in 1955. She attended Long Beach State College in Long Beach California for 2 years.
She retired from F&M Bank as an office secretary.
Dee was an active member of the Crosslink Community Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was very active in making homemade crafts to support the various church group volunteer work. Prior to moving to Harrisonburg, she was a member of Clearbrook Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Dee leaves her beloved husband, Russell E. Dulaney Sr.; daughter, Katherine Kerns and her husband Russell “Tater”; sister, Linda Dennis; stepdaughters, Judy Lee Holler and Linda Dulaney Van Tassel; stepsons, Russell E. and Stephen Dulaney; grandchildren, Logan Eiland and Felicity Eiland Coffey and many great grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by Lee C. Holler, Jr. for which they were married 18 years, her parents, and brother, Jimmy Turner.
A viewing for family and friends will take place at the Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia, from 12-1pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2023. The funeral service will be held at 1pm at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
