Frances C. Santmier

Frances Catherine Santmier, age 96, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Elmcroft of Martinsburg. Mrs. Santmier was born in 1915 in Lost River, WV, the daughter of the Late Lorenzo Jacob and Hattie Rose See. She was retired as an apple inspector at National Fruit, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married Raymond Lewis Santmier on June 25, 1938 in Lost River. Mr. Santmier died August 26, 1993.

Surviving is a daughter, Jillynn Carole Weber and husband, Arthur, of Martinsburg, WV; two sons, Jack Allen Santmier and wife, Linda of Richmond, VA and Phillip Shaw Santmier of Taos, NM; seven grandchildren: Scott Santmier, Mary Frances Santmier, Brian Weber, Nikki Weber, Katie Weber, Raymond Matthew Weber, and Sage Santmier; four great grandchildren, and three sisters, Sylvia Nellans of Wichita, KS, Erma May of Mathias, WV, and Edith Morrison of Wardensville, WV. A brother, Roy See, preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 23 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor George H. Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a loved one no matter what their age may be. There will be so much joy when God will "wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more" (Revelation 21:4) and then we will be able to enjoy countless generations with each other.
