Floyd E. Breeden, Jr., 49, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away, Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in the Winchester Medical Center. In continuation of his giving spirit, his organs were donated in hopes that others might live better and fuller lives.
Mr. Breeden was born in 1960 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Floyd Eugene and Judy Breeden, Sr. He was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 1994 graduate of Shepherd University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree. Mr. Breeden worked at National Counseling Group as a Mental Health Support Counselor. He was an Eagle Scout. He was also the former Leader of Troop 159 in Stephens City, Virginia.
Mr. Breeden married Gayle Marie Glasmire on September 1, 1990, in Steelton, Pennsylvania.
Surviving with his wife of nineteen years; is a daughter, Callie Lynn Breeden and a son, Brian Curtis Breeden, both of Stephens City, Virginia; maternal grandmother, Elaine Robertson of Berryville, Virginia; a brother, N. Blair Breeden and his wife, Ann of Summit Point, West Virginia; and four nieces. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgar and Joan Glasmire of Middletown, Pennsylvania; three brothers-in-law, Glenn Glasmire and his wife, Nancy of Chesterton, Indiana, Alan Glasmire of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Brian Glasmire and his wife, JoAnne of Middletown, Pennsylvania; a sister-in-law, Karen Ryan and her husband, Michael of Mechanicsville, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rhonda Colby officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
