Dear Donnie and Ann ~ My sincere sympathy on the passing of Flo, your Mom. I hope the special memories of her give you comfort. So many of us have had to let go of our Mom's...mine passed one year ago, so I can feel your heartache. Take strength from your family and many friends and classmates. ~~ Danna Doyle
Russ Potts left a message on December 30, 2020:
Dear Melissa, Donnie, and Smallwood Family: So sorry to read of the passing of your mother. She was a strong and talented great lady who had a huge impact on your dad, the Judges Athletic Association, and our community. When I was Assistant AD at the University of Maryland, your dad and mom created and produced all of the bowl game logos for Byrd Stadium in football and all of the decorations for the Maryland football and basketball banquets! Also, they produced the portraits of departing Maryland basketball seniors, which were presented on national TV in the final home game every year. We had a great friendship, and I admired and respected your mom and dad so much. Your dad was one of the founders of the Judges Athletic Association and your mom made sure he got the recognition he deserved as one of the founders along with Eddie Manuel, Dick Kern, and Dick Rosenberger. She contacted me to make sure of that! What a life! Love and God bless. Sincere condolences. Your friends always, Russ and Emily Potts
