Mr. Faye Ellsworth “Red” Bovey, 95, of Bunker Hill, WV passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023, at his home.
Red was born in 1927 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, son of the late James S. and Mildred (Gluck) Bovey. He was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Navy. Before retiring he was a Sales and Maintenance Mechanic in the chemical industry. His heart was huge and his love was unconditional. He was a blessing to anyone who knew him.
His wife, Eula McKee Bovey, whom he married on August 6, 1950 preceded him in death in 1999.
Surviving is a daughter, Robyn Farmer (Frank) of Bunker Hill, WV; sons, Kelly E. Bovey of Winchester, VA and David F. Bovey of Dumfries, VA; grandchildren, David F. Bovey (Trish), Nichole Shultz(Steven), Chad Bovey, Luke B. Callas(Noelle), William T. Callas, Jr. (Delta), and Jeremy M. Long; great grandchildren, Zachary Callas and Joshua Bovey(Ashley); and sister, Mary Ellen “Marty” Holston of Mt. Airy, MD. Several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be from 9 am to 10 am on Saturday, February 11, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 10 am at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.
