Evie Joe Omps, 52 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025,

Evie was born in 1973 in Winchester, the son of Darwyn and Mary Clevenger. He was a graduate of James Wood High School and worked as a technician’s assistant at Gills Heating and Air Conditioning. He was calm, cautious and a very loyal friend. Evie enjoyed helping his aunts with their horses and he also loved riding them.

He is survived by his parents, Darwyn and Mary, his brother, Richard Frank Clevenger and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Evie is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents and his brother, Darion Cameron Clevenger.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Evie to the family in care of Omps Funeral Home. This will help the family with funeral expenses.

My deepest condolences to family and friends. He was truly a great person from when I knew I’m in school.

I did know Evie for a long time but I did get the pleasure to work with him for a short period and I could see how big of a heart ♥️ he had and I seen how loyal of a person he was. I am truly sorry to hear about your passing. Now you are under the care of our lord & that’s not a bad place to be. I will not see you again in this life but I will in the next. Evie, as children I remember playing me you Tim Kevin Nathan we all play on a dirt pile or iat the farm at Uncle Rick's we would run around in the field we would all be carefree as kids. It was like Christ when we would see ec other agian.those childhood memories to live again as kids being Carefree we may not all been blood but family..
