Evelyn V. Patterson

Evelyn Virginia Reid Patterson, 74, of Stephenson, Virginia, died Monday, June 28, 2010, in her home.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Clark County, Virginia, in 1935, the daughter of the late Floyd and Annie May Reid. She retired from APEX in Winchester, VIrginia.

She married Harry Patterson who preceded her in death in February 2001.

Surviving are her sisters, Margaret Newlin of Stephenson, Virginia, Louise McFarland of Mount Williams, Virginia, Lola Gunther of Lancaster, New York, Esther Fraizer of Frederickburg, Virginia; brothers, Floyd Reid, Jr. of Augusta, West Virginia and Thomas Reid of Tuscan, Arizona.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Reverend Jim Asberry officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to donors charity of choice.
