Each Fall Eva would decorate the altar in the Bethel sanctuary with an amazing display of fruits of the harvest. She included pumpkins, gourds, apples, flowers gathered from the fields, even jars of canned food; using baskets, pottery to enhance the collection.it was her gift of thanksgiving and her love of nature and I am so thankful that she shared it with us.

The only time I met Eva I was impressed by her and so enjoyed our conversation. Through her daughter Kat I learned all about her and greatly admired her and envied her with love. She was a blessed woman to have had such a loving, devoted and dedicated child. Now I see where Kat gets her exceptional character. May God give you peace dear friend and comfort knowing your mother is now with Him and rejoined your father once more. She kept the faith, walked the walk and remained firm in her life to the very end.

(A reposting from Facebook) Wednesday evening, my beloved mother, drifted away from me as I held her hand. Eva Elisabeth Christianson was my anchor, strength, best friend and wise sage as I meandered and stumbled through my life. She was there as I gasped in my very first breath — and I was there as she gently let go of her last breath. My Mom was an incredible human being. She was brave and fearless - stubborn and strong willed. She led her life as an example to me and all those that knew her. Mom had an astounding array of creative talents which she shared freely. Paintings, sculptures in clay, wood and rock, her writings and poems — the sharpest wit and humor of anyone I knew. She loved nature and gardening — she loved my daddy and she loved me. She was a trooper when faced with adversity - not the least of which was her affliction with Alzheimer’s. Our bond was such that she never forgot who I was nor my name. I cannot express the immense pain and sadness I am feeling right now. I can barely breathe. I miss you so terribly — I am happy you left on your terms; at home, surrounded by things and people you love, without pain or suffering, peacefully. I am so thankful for the amazing caregivers (Taryn, Zelina, Michelle) that tended to her so lovingly and heartfelt these last few years - you became a part of my family. I’m truly struggling .. there aren’t enough words to describe my extraordinary Mom. I love you always - Thank you for all you did for me. ❤️?❤️?
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
