Ethan Ryan Auten, 41, of Winchester, VA passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at his home.
Ethan was born in 1979 in Fairfax, VA, son of Lorrie McCann and the late David Auten, III. He was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 1997 and earned an Associate’s degree from Blue Ridge Community College. Ethan worked for Berkeley County Public Works. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Florida State Seminoles. Ethan loved to shop, watch movies, and while in high school was on a traveling soccer team, as well as playing varsity soccer at Sherando. His greatest passion was his family and spending time with them.
He married Blanca Veronica Olivares-Manuel on June 15, 2020 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving with his mother and his wife are children, Veronica Tatiana Lovato-Olivares and Christopher Eliu Olivares both of Winchester, VA, Aliyah Auten and Tyler Auten both of Frederick County, VA; mother of Aliyah and Tyler, Brooke Auten; sisters, Kathy Saladin (Troy) of Utah and Kelly Bowcott (Josh) of Montana; brothers, Adrian Auten (Cindy) and David Griffith, both of Frederick County, VA and Mathew Griffith of Tennessee; niece and nephew, Emma and Jack Auten of Frederick County, VA; and many loving extended family members.
Along with his father, Ethan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and David Auten, Jr. and maternal grandparents, Charles and Shirley McCann.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
