Eric Scott Shaffer, 26, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Friday, March 15th, 2019.
Eric was born in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Kurt and Jeannette Shaffer of Stephens City VA; and Michelle Shaffer of Front Royal VA. He was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 2012, and employed at Amazon in Clear Brook, Virginia. Eric loved watching NASCAR (his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon), and was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Rams. He enjoyed playing Xbox and Playstation.
Surviving with his parents, his brother Joseph Shaffer of Strasburg, Virginia , sisters Stacey Reid (Nathan) of Strasburg, Virginia and Sara Merchant (Brian) of Front Royal, Virginia. Also Surviving are 5 nieces, 2 nephews and grandparents Elizabeth Carol Shaffer, Eugene Carter and Jean Dorsey Perkins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Patsy Gail Carter and Joseph Anthony Shaffer. His Uncle William Allen Youngblood Sr, and Aunt JoSan Shaffer Forsythe.
A visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday March 29, 2019 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 30, 2019 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Robert Eckman officiating. Interment will be followed by the service at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.
